About this program

As a continuation to the previous lecture on “Brief Introduction to the Different Traditions of Buddhism”, the Three Vows delve further into the differences of the different schools of Buddhism, namely Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. One will benefit having attended the first lecture on “Brief Introduction to the Different Traditions of Buddhism” before attending this course. This course is taught by Lama Kunga Phuntsok from Toronto.

About the lecturer

Born and raised in India, Lama Kunga Phuntsok entered the Bir Sakya monastery at the age of 11 in 1993 to become a monk. Upon completion of his monastic training, Lama Kunga joined the Sakya College and studied Buddhist Philosophy there for four years. He subsequently resided at Sakya Tharpa Ling in Australia for two years as the resident lama. Upon completion of his assignment, he enrolled in the Sakya Institute of Vajrayana to study higher Tantric teachings where he completed four years of higher education. In 2016, Lama Kunga moved to Toronto where he currently resides.
