Teachings on Vajrapani practice and retreat

Dates: 2nd, 3rd and 4th September 2023

Timing (PST): Daily 10:00AM to 12:00PM and 2:00PM to 4:00PM

Location: in person and via ZOOM.

About this program:

Lama Ngawang will teach students how to do the Vajrapani Buhtadhamara practice and how to conduct the retreat. Instructions will be provided on the setting up of shrine, mudras to be performed, performance of sadhana and torma offering.

After the teachings, the remainder of the program will be focused on doing the actual practice itself where students will practice together with Lama Ngawang, familiarizing themselves with the practice which will be beneficial especially for those planning to do the Vajrapani retreat.


-This program is restricted to students who have received the Vajrapani Bhutadamara Empowerment from a qualified Sakya master.

-Participants must have own copy of the sadhana with torma offering as the text will not be displayed online.


Please register by 28 August 2023 (Monday) whether you are planning to participate in person or attend via ZOOM. In person attendance is limited, STTL reserves the right to refuse entry to non-registered students. For those attending via ZOOM, the ZOOM link will be emailed to you two days before the course starts. Please review STTL’s ZOOM etiquette page for conduct during ZOOM sessions.

About this Program:

This is a guided practice intensive where Lama Ngawang will guide students in the practice of the Vajrayogini Self Empowerment as well as the Vajrayogini Long sadhana.


-This program is restricted to students who have received the Vajrayogini blessing of the Naro Kachod tradition from a qualified Sakya master, as well as the complete 7-day teachings (the 11 yogas) in order to practise the uncommon Vajrayogini Long sadhana.

-As the practice texts will not be displayed online, participants must have own copy of the texts to attend the retreat:

  1. The long uncommon Vajrayogini sadhana
  2. Vajrayogini self-empowerment text.
